Day Zero - Goal Setting

So, here I am.  Day Zero.

It's a Sunday night, and I'm sitting here in my lovely inner city house with a glass of wine, listening to the radio.  Summer officially starts in 2 days.  The reason I'm starting this is that I've been thinking lately that THIS IS THE SUMMER that I want to be Different to all my other Summers.

I want to be able to go to the beach, or the pool, or for my family visit to Queensland for Christmas and not feel so self conscious about my body.  I don't want to have to swim in shorts and a tshirt.  I may never be one of those bronzed, petite women who run from Bondi to Coogee everyday, but I know I can look better than I do now.

So, here are the cold, hard facts.

Today I weigh 86kgs.  My end goal weight is 65kgs.  I will set milestones to celebrate - firstly 80kgs, then 75kgs, then 70kgs and finally - my goal.

I hope to reach the end goal in 6 months.  For now - I need to reach 80kgs by Christmas (WORST time to be dieting, right?!  Can just imagine that over the Christmas-New Year week I will splash out a little but..that's ok - nothing to beat myself up over!)

How am I going to do this?  I work from home, so my time is flexible.

I figure if I aim for 45minutes, to an hour of exercise, 5 days a week, I should start to see results.  I don't eat crazy foods anymore (have already seen some results just from changing my diet the last couple of months) so this should really help me.

Not sure if my nightly couple of glasses of wine is too helpful to my weightloss goals at this point but...I've all but given up chocolate, so I need to keep some vices!

That's all for now blogland - wish me luck!
